Lynnette Bosan: From Foster to Freedom

Many people don’t overcome the odds against them. This was just the opposite of my story. At the age of 8 years old life was wonderful as I thought it should be. Being in the environment of my mother, brother and sister, until life began to take a turn for what I was not expecting.

It appeared that my life went from a surrounding of love and happiness to a surrounding of hurt, loneliness and pain. I began to be crippled by circumstances beyond my control, yearning for freedom that I could not see before me.

I had no idea what it was going to be like becoming a foster child – besides – what did that mean anyway? I really just wanted to be loved and cared for. Unfortunately, I received just the opposite. My journey will allow you to see how I navigated my way through darkness and ran into the light.
