PARKING
Recommended: Free Parking and Shuttle Service at Lakeforest Shopping Center
Getting to the festival is easy when you ride a free shuttle from Lakeforest Shopping Center. The Center is just minutes off of I-270 at Exit 11 East. The handicap accessible shuttle leaves from the Transit Center Parking Lot near Sears (at the corner of Oden’hal and Lost Knife Roads) beginning at 9:30 a.m. The last shuttle will leave the Festival area at 6:30 p.m. Parking is free.
Limited Free Parking Near the Festival
There is limited free parking at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Fredrick Avenue next to Gaithersburg High School. It is less than a 1/4 mile walk to the festival area.
DIRECTIONS
BY CAR
From Points South:
Take I-495 (Capital Beltway) to I-270 North towards Frederick.
To access free shuttle service from Lakeforest Shopping Center:
Take Exit 11 East – Montgomery Village Avenue. At fourth traffic light intersection turn right on to Lost Knife Road. Transit Center parking lot will be on your right at the corner of Lost Knife and Oden’hal Roads.
To access Activity Center Satellite parking:
Take Exit 9A (East) to I-370 towards Metro. Follow the signs to the Gaithersburg Town Center Exit (Route 355 North). At third traffic light, turn left onto Education Boulevard. Proceed to third driveway around the circle to park in the Activity Center parking lot.
From Points North:
Take I-15 South or I-70 West in Frederick, onto I-270 South towards
Rockville and Gaithersburg.
To access free shuttle service from Lakeforest Shopping Center:
Take Exit 11 and turn left onto Montgomery Village Avenue. At fifth traffic light turn right on to Lost Knife Road. Transit Center parking lot will be on your right at the corner of Lost Knife and Oden’hal Roads.
To access Activity Center Satellite parking:
Take Exit 11 East and turn left onto Montgomery Village Avenue. Turn right on to Route 355 South (also known as Frederick Avenue). At fifth traffic light, turn right onto Education Boulevard. Proceed to third driveway around the circle to park in the Activity Center parking lot.
BY METRO RAIL
Take the Red Line to Shady Grove Station. Hop on Ride-On bus #55/Germantown Transit Center or #57/Lakeforest. Exit either bus at intersection of Rt. 355 North and Summit Avenue (at St. Martins Church). Walk up Summit Avenue to festival entrance on right.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY
The festival grounds are wheelchair accessibile, and handicap parking will be available just off of Wells Avenue in the Wells Robertson House parking lot, adjacent to the MARC train parking lot in Olde Towne Gaithersburg. An official handicap sticker or tag will be required in order to park in this lot. A handicap accessible shuttle will also be available from Lakeforest Shopping Center.
