Called to Question the Great Mysteries

By Exhibiting Author Mare Cromwell

I have long been interested in spirituality and the path of finding inner peace and connection with the Divine. After being raised Catholic, I spent seven years studying yoga at an ashram, and then in my mid-thirties connected with a Cherokee medicine woman. All told, I have been studying for more than 18 years with Native American medicine people.

My first award-winning book, “if I gave you God’s phone number…. Searching for Spirituality in America,” was born from a phase of my life callgodcvrwhen I was grappling with depression and feeling rather spiritually lost in my early 30s. The book is based on the question: “If I gave you God’s phone number, what would you do with it?” It is made up of interview with young and old, Christians, Jews, agnostics, a death row inmate, Afghani Sufi and more.

MessagesMotherCvrThe second award-winning book, “Messages from Mother…. Earth Mother,” is a unique angle on green living and eco-spirituality. Within this book, a young woman named Sarah meets Earth Mother on a trail in a forest and agrees to transcribe and share Earth Mother’s messages for the world. This book is infused with wisdom and humor to help us wake up to the great beauty and sacredness of this planet we call home.

“The Great Mother Bible,” my third book, is due out this summer. This book speaks to the emerging spiritual awarenesses that we live in a conscious cosmos and Spirit surrounds us wherever you go, and so much more. It also sources a deep Sacred Feminine perspective on spiritual wisdom. Excerpts from this book can be found online.

This is writing is soul work and certainly what I am called to put forth in these interesting times. It’s humbling and a joy to write (and do talks and workshops) on these levels.

Blessings, blessings,
Mare
