Exhibiting Author Brings Poetry for Children

Hello Book & Festival Lovers,

My name is Nicole Lanier Montez, I am the author of a new book, titled, “The Corporate Kid: Rainbow After the Storm,” an interactive poetry book; the reader will enjoy vibrant poetry, illustrations and have the opportunity to place their poetry in the book.

The poems were inspired by the book, “The Corporate Kid,” written by Neil Shulman, MD. In 2012, I met Dr. Shulman at the Decatur Book Festival. Following a rich and pulsating conversation, Dr. Shulman requested I write a poetry book centered on social injustice, social change, life and relationships. “The Corporate Kid: Rainbow After the Storm,” is enjoyable to all generations, hues, races and genders.

I have been a book lover since grade school. And enjoy being a patron and exhibitor in book festivals throughout the U.S. A gentle hello or sharing a view with fellow poets, writers and patrons have sparked bottomless conversations; its not always about selling a book. I chose to participate in the Gaithersburg Book Festival for a new experience and venue.

Please stop by my table to read the books… share your thoughts and opinions… network or just to say hi. But don’t leave without picking up a application/guidelines to Open Closet Productions, Poetry Contest. In 2012, I created Open Closet Productions, a literary arts company. The poetry contest is open to ages six and older. The subject: Heal the World.

No entry fee and no purchase of the book required. For more information, stop by my table.

Looking forward to  great day,

Nicole
