The deadline to apply as a Literary Vendor or Exhibiting Author was February 28, 2026. No additional applications will be accepted this year. Please check back February 1, 2027 for next year.
Food Vendor applications will be accepted until March 22, 2026
There is a requirement of a $10 non-refundable fee to apply to become a Gaithersburg Book Festival vendor. Payments should be made online through the Recreation & Parks RecXpress Registration System before proceeding with the form. If accepted, the full vendor fee will be collected upon acceptance. If your application is not accepted, the $10 fee is non-refundable.
Step 1. Click this link to pay the $10 fee: RecXpress Application Fee– this fee can also be paid over the phone by calling 301-258-6350 and asking to register for course code #19788. Please ensure to obtain your receipt number once the payment is complete.
Step 2. With your receipt number from RecXpress, click the correct link below that corresponds with your vendor type. Complete the application and click submit.
New Users:
If you have been a previous vendor at the Book Festival or any other City Special Event, you likely already have an account in our system and just need to select “forgot my password”.
If you do not already have a City of Gaithersburg RecXpress account, you will need to click here to create one, register for course code #19788 and pay. You will then receive a receipt and can proceed to fill out the correct application form for your vendor type.
