Year Round Writing & Reading Enrichment at Your Fingertips!

from our partner, Activity Rocket

Like us, we know you can’t wait for the Gaithersburg Book Festival, but you want your kids ages 0-18 to enrich their reading and writing experiences year-round. Your friends at activityrocket.com – your one-stop to search kids classes, camps and sports – have some awesome resources for enhancing kids – babies through teens – access to literature all year round:

For babies and toddlers, our friends at the public libraries and recreation departments frequently have story times! Find the best one by age and location, here.

For kids through teens, launch a search for “reading”, “writing” and “book and paper arts” on activityrocket.com! You will find many classes and camps from Glen Arts, The Smithsonian, Little Scholars, Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Arlington Arts Center, and more.

For kids with special needs, we love DC Public Libraries American Sign Language (ASL) Story Hour. The story in ASL is followed by craft activities. ASL/voice interpreters and therapy dogs from People Animals Love also participate.

If English is your second language, you can find story times in Spanish, French, and other languages.

And we would never forget about mom, looking for your next great read? Check out one of our FAV bloggers – http://everydayiwritethebookblog.com.

Brought to you by your friends at Activity Rocket – where you can find and book camps, classes, sports and so much more for kids ages 0-18 throughout metro DC. Get your deals, parenting advice, sharing/calendaring tools – all ONE STOP!
